Responsible Growth
Barrie is growing quickly, and Ward 9 has seen that growth firsthand. As councillor, I will support responsible development while pushing to ensure roads, parks, infrastructure and City services keep pace with new growth.
Affordability & Responsible Spending
Residents deserve to know that their tax dollars are being used responsibly. I will scrutinize City spending, support responsible budgeting, and consider the impact that tax and fee increases have on residents before voting at Council.
Strong, Reliable City Services
Good local government starts with getting the basics right. I will support investments that maintain and improve the services residents rely on while looking for practical ways to deliver them efficiently.
A Safe & Livable Community
I will support practical measures that make our neighbourhoods safer, cleaner and more livable, while working collaboratively on the broader challenges facing Barrie.
Transparency at City Hall
Residents should understand the decisions being made on their behalf. I will communicate important Council decisions, explain where I stand on major votes, and make it easier for Ward 9 residents to follow what's happening at City Hall.
My approach
I won't promise that one councillor can solve every issue alone. I will bring Ward 9's voice to the Council table, work with the Mayor and other councillors where we agree, and support proposals that I believe are good for Ward 9 and Barrie as a whole.
